A Heart For Pine Ridge

Helping our Oglala Lakota brothers and sisters on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota USA

About "A Heart For Pine Ridge"

This group is not affiliated with any church, non-profit or organization, instead we are a group of individuals with a common desire to help our Oglala Lakota brothers and sisters on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

We help by sending or delivering food and care packages to tribal families and Elders, making occasional trips to help with needs on the reservation and working as a networking group to keep in contact with the people themselves and addressing needs as we can. We are not a charity, we are simply friends helping friends, doing what we feel is right in our hearts.

Occasionally we do fundraising projects. Currently the group's founder, Kimberli Maloy, is putting the final touches on a CD compilation that will be sold worldwide to raise funds for emergency propane for the winter of 2010-2011. Included on that CD are contributions from artists across the United States -- everything from song to spoken word, traditional Lakota to blues, instrumental, folk and more from Native American and non-Native artists. More information can be found on our "NEWS" page or by clicking the "MERCHANDISE" tab.

We welcome you to our little corner of the web and thank you for stopping by!
